Please join us for our opening reception of our newest Digital Gallery Exhibit, “Backyard Brooklyn” here on Saturday, March 14th from 5:00pm-7:30pm.

The Narrowsburg Union Digital Gallery is pleased to present the pictures of Woody Goldberg. He calls this collection of photos "Backyard Brooklyn.” These lush images will help conjure-up senses of the good-old outdoors, and feelings of the coming spring.

Woody had a long career as a counselor with the New York City Department of Homeless Service. His agency provides services to the homeless, and its ultimate aim is to help folks overcome homelessness. Woody’s department oversees 208 facilities around New York City, but he spent most of his time in the NYC subway system seeking out homeless folks who needed assistance. That's good work indeed!

Woody's collection "Backyard Brooklyn" was presented last summer in Brooklyn, NY. During that show he presented only a dozen of his pictures - printed and framed. The Narrowsburg Union Digital Gallery has installed the latest technology, so this show will present MOST of his 246 high-definition images. And our 16-foot media wall will present thirty images from six of Woody's coolest Brooklyn backyard settings.

And "virtual" meets "real" in the Union Digital Gallery’s revolving work installations. Objects created by the gallery's founder, made of bluestone, canvas, wood, fabric, and glass — converge with the light of digital imagery. Reflections and refractions made by micro-projectors, iPads, and HD-monitors give the gallery space a colorful cool-glow.
